Thanks to Altmire, ObamaCare on the Way to Law

After weeks of ducking the issues and national posturing, Jason Altmire was again given a pass today, as he cast yet another irrelevant vote in the House.  Once Nancy Pelosi and Barrack Obama exceeded the necessary votes necessary to pass the Senate Bill, Altmire was “allowed” to truly represent his constituents.    Congressional Candidate Keith Rothfus had the following comments:

“Despite polls showing that well over 60% of the district is unhappy with this bill, Jason pretended that the response that he was getting was 50/50.  While his constituents were deeply concerned over the passage of this bill, Altmire took the opportunity to kick off his campaign, appearing on multiple national news outlets.”

“We don’t need a Congressman that is more concerned with how he looks on TV and in the national press than the massive debts he is leaving to our children.  This bill could have easily been defeated, had Jason taken a stand for the people of his district. Instead, his wishy washy evasions allowed Nancy Pelosi and Barrack Obama to gather votes through whatever back room deals they could produce.  The people of this district deserve better.”

Keith Rothfus has signed the pledge to repeal any federal health care takeover in 2010, and replace it with real reforms that lower health care costs without growing government.
